Coastal scene in Tunisia was executed c. 1900 by the listed French painter Jean Frixione or secondary name Frix (circa 1850-1900), who lived and traveled to Algiers and Tunisia, from where he took the motifs for his landscape paintings. Several of his works with Tunisian cities and landscapes can be found on various auctions.
