Revolver Smith & Wesson New Model N°3 Frontier, Single action.
Model produced to 2072 specimens between 1885 and 1908, of which some, like the model presented, were modified to receive the cartridge 44 Russian.
Finished with 90% nickel plating.
Grooved cylinder, 6 shots, 39,9 mm length.
Round barrel, rifled, interior mirror. Precision front sight.
No wear on the mechanism.
Percussion cap with original case hardened finish. Screw heads in good condition.
Hardened rubber grip pads with S&W monogram, no defects.
All parts numbered: 1432
Waxed oak case, with handle and on the lid an engraved brass cartouche bearing the inscription: P. DURET LYON
Inside covered with green felt, with a compartment with lid. It contains a burette, an empty original box of cartridges, a screwdriver, a swab and a cleaning rod.
