Divided into two parts, it presents a very beautiful decoration of marquetry and bronze.
The upper part in mahogany veneer window, consists of two scalloped glass doors framed by a fine frieze of bronze acanthus leaves. Its entablature, the angles of which are marked by bronze Spanish slabs, is adorned with a rococo marquetry decoration composed of interlacing of acanthus leaves and flowers, inhabited by shells. A finely chiseled bronze motif, also in the rococo style, is protruding on the top.
The display case rests on a lower part resting on four curved legs and opening by two doors on the front. Here again, bronze ornaments in the Louis XV style emphasize the lines. As for the two doors they are decorated with a beautiful marquetry representing a table on which are placed maps, a globe and a book where one can read on one "Sciences" and "Arts" and on the other "History" and "Travel". The sides of the cabinet are also decorated with a marquetry of floral elements in the Louis XV style.
The shelves in the showcase are missing.
