Farandole d'Amours.- Pair of porcelain planters in the shape of a Rafraichissoir, decorated on a Celestial Blue background enhanced with enamelled pearls and flower garlands, foliated friezes, gold threads of a rotating band with patterns painted in polychromy on a white background of Cherubim fluttering in clouds. Each, associated with Sentimental Attributes - lyre, flaming torchiere, bow and arrows, target, bow, garlands and wreath of roses, illustrates the progression of the Feeling of love and its outcome in The Hymen. Or a decoration on the subject, with iconography inspired by paintings by François Boucher (17O3-1770), such as "Amour tirant à l'Arc", 1751 and more particularly from that entitled "La Cible d'Amour", 1758 Winding side sockets highlighted with gold combs.
