Dated 1917 and signed by the famous Aix painter, disciple of Cézanne, this oil on canvas represents a quality man sitting at his desk writing, a notable Aixois, perhaps a notary at his desk. Beautiful muted colors and small bright touches that bring out the features of the face characterize this beautiful interior painting. On the frame, the hallmark of the manufacturer / supplier of the frame and undoubtedly of the canvas, the house of Lefranc et Cie. Good condition. Cracks. No uprising. Not re-lined, on its canvas and original key frame. It is mounted in a very beautiful frame with closed corners in stucco wood gilded with leaf with very relief decoration of acanthus leaves, in good condition.
