Two Louis Philippe Restoration period prints in magnificent Restoration frames gilded with gold. Edited by the house Goupil et Vibert. Prints dimensions: 62 x 48 cm. Frame dimensions: 73 x 58.5 cm. Adolphe Goupil was born in Paris in 1806. He joined forces with Henri Rittner to devote himself to the trade in prints and lithographs in Paris. On the latter's death in 1840, Théodore Vibert, publisher of engravings, succeeded him (Goupil et Vibert company). In 1846, the company called Goupil, Vibert & Cie, experienced extraordinary expansion. It has four establishments in Paris, place de l'Opéra, rue Chaptal, Boulevard Montmartre and rue d'Enghien, and gradually opens branches in New York (1848), London (1848), Berlin (1852), The Hague (1861) and Bruxelle (1863).
