Elegant secretary in mahogany veneer on which beautiful gilded bronzes stand out. Secretary stamped J Stumpff cabinetmaker of Swedish origin who settled in rue Saint Nicolas where he remained throughout his life. He obtained the master's degree in 1766. A drawer at the top with bronze zippers on the sides decorated with bay leaves. A central flap reveals a patinated green leather from the period gilded with small irons, six small drawers on the front. The two flaps at the bottom of the secretary reveal a chest. Superb quality of the bronzes which stand out against the mahogany veneer. Breccia marble top. J Stumpff stamp.
