Jean Dessès, born Jean Dimitre Virginie, is a couturier, born to Greek parents in Alexandria, Egypt, on August 6, 1904 and died in Athens on August 2 August 1970. He owned in Paris, from 1937 to 1968, one of the most important fashion houses. Its models are characterized by generous square, dart, point and sweetheart necklines extended deep into the back, giant details such as collars, lapels or wide-necked cuffs.
