Paul Nicolas began to sign his personal productions D'Argental between 1919 and 1952. In 1893, after his studies at the School of Fine Arts in Nancy, he was hired by Emile Gallé with whom he did all his apprenticeship until he was master glassmaker. His artistic taste and his technicality are found in the sobriety of this vase.
