"Eighteenth Carved Wall Console In Rechampi Oak"
Superb and elegant 18th century wall console in rechampis oak. It rests on the front on 2 arched console feet connected at their base by a highly ornate shell decorated with volutes and foliage. The base is also finely carved with volutes and acanthus leaves. The openwork facade crosspiece is finely chiseled over its entire ensemble with foliage decorations, scrolls and garlands of flowers. The side rails are also heavily crafted from the same patterns. The furniture in natural oak was retrofitted later. The console is topped with a superb red marble. Work from the north of France of very high quality with a particularly fine and elegant sculpture, the whole in excellent state of conservation.
