Majolica turquoise Art Nouveau Fleur Lys double attributed to Jérôme Massier & Fils in Vallauris (without signature). This elegant piece is an early example, showing the main inspirations of Art Nouveau, applying curved, organic and asymmetrical design elements to a functional object (vase). In this example, hand-applied ceramic petals and streaks of colored glaze are used to accentuate the plant form. Design period, circa 1900 The piece is in good general condition, however, I note chipping and slight enamel jumps. A real beauty! A rare find for the connoisseur. Height 38.5 cm, width 20.5 cm, depth 20.5 cm.
