Very beautiful work of the Finnish artist Harald GALLEN (1880-1931). It is an Oil on canvas signed lower left and measuring 45.5 x 80.5 cm (62 x 98 cm with its frame). I had the painting cleaned by my restorer; there are therefore no costs to be expected. There are some old cracks visible in the sky; the frame has several accidents and gaps (corners). Harald GALLEN is a Finnish artist born in Tallinn in Estonia on June 2, 1880. Coming from a modest family, he started working very early, before resuming his studies in 1900, first at the drawing school of the university. Helsinki, then the drawing code of the Artists' Association. Without a penny, he left (on foot!) For Paris in 1902, where he joined the Scandinavian community (Christian KROHG, Frits THAULOW, ...), who influenced him in his vision of nature and provided him with financial assistance. , which enabled him to take courses at the Académie Julian, the Académie Colarossi and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
