"Louis XVI Style Portico Clock"
Louis XVI style portico clock, in black marble with four columns and beautiful ornamentation of gilded and chiseled bronze. The enamelled dial rests in the middle of the portico on antique-style draperies, with Roman numerals, indication of hours, minutes and day, signed Tarault in Paris, Faubourg Saint Honoré 24, striking at the passage of the hours and a half. The base rests on four bronze runners, it is adorned with a finely chiseled gilt bronze frieze with palmettes. XIXth century. In working order, complete with its key. Tarault, watchmaker active in Paris at 24 Faubourg Saint Honoré, at the beginning of the 19th century.
