"Regency Tomb Commode"
Beautiful chest of drawers known as "commode en tombeau" or "commode à l Régence" with a frontage in rosewood curling, drawing quarte-leaves and diamond patterns in violet wood frames. It opens with four drawers arranged in 3 rows separated by visible visible crosspieces underlined by a dark groove of amaranth wood. Crossbow cut and profiled apron. Arorndis front uprights with sides extending the right feet to the rear. A rich ornament of chiseled and gilded bronze. Escutcheon keyholes topped with flat beaded shells, lamp and clogs with openwork foliage windings centered with fleuron, stylized couqille - intensifies the shimmering of the soberly inlaid composition. Molded with corbain's beak, a thick white-veined gray breccia marble top hugs the weighted shapes of this beautiful piece of furniture. Trace of illegible stamp on the frame.
