""chrysanthemums In An Urn" By Amandus Faure (1874-1931)"
A large bouquet of chrysanthemums and marigolds in an urn was executed by the famous German painter and printmaker Amandus Faure (1874-1931). He studied at the Academy of Stuttgart and undertook study trips to Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Morocco. The artist was known for his interior scenes, his still lifes of flowers and his genre scenes from the lives of artists. His paintings are on permanent display at the National Gallery and the Royal Theater in Stuttgart. Faure was a frequet exhibitor at Stuttgart Art Unit, Munich Sezession, Glaspalast as well as Dresden, Wiesbaden, Cologne and Düsseldorf. He was a member of many German artist units.

Technique: oil on canvas. Old golden frame decorated with patterns.
