Circa 1890/1900 Paris Visit or outing from the Ball of the famous couturier Jacques Doucet who had as assistant Paul Poiret and Madeleine Vionnet. Changing taffeta navy, green and purple. Application of black plush velvet laces forming arabesques and spirals. Wide batwing sleeves and fuchsia pink silk crepe lining embellished with older lace. Large pleated work in the back finished with long fringes of plush velvet. Front closure with hooks concealed under two black ribbon rosettes. Black label, white graphics. Weakness and repair at the level of the lining at the collar and shoulders. Otherwise very good condition. Equivalent size 38 France. In the wake of competition with Maison Worth, Jacques Doucet dressed the aristocracy and the elegant of the Parisian artistic world.
