"Rosewood Table Mirror."
This charming little Napoleon III mirror is in the Regency style, it is bordered by a sinuous rosewood molding and a row of gilded bronze pearls, the ice is mercury, its tin is somewhat altered but its "old silver" color is the most beautiful effect. The mahogany back is provided with a kind of foot which is used to put the whole on a piece of furniture when it is unfolded. In the closed position, the device makes the back of the object perfectly flat and allows wall hanging. We dismantled the rear support and found inscribed on the soul of the piece of furniture the date on which it was manufactured and the name of the craftsman who produced it, i.e. April 10, 1863 by Jacques de Malmedy. XIXth century. Dimensions: height 53 cm, width 41 cm.
