One-piece 3-crest skull with riveted visor and riveted neck cover.
The ear protectors are made each one of 2 riveted parts.
The hinges are original. Weight is 1kg 800. It is not so thick as a fortress burgonet, but anyways thicker than the morions dating from the same period.
Note: a square hole in the middle of the visor, perhaps intended to let a nasal piece pass through ?
All the burgonet leathers are present and original.
They are riveted by copper rivets with a steel washer between each rivet and the leather. Copper is used because it allowed cold riveting to avoid burning the leather while the steel rivets that secure the metal parts together are hot hammered.
This type of burgonet is particularly rare on the market.
