Orientalist Portrait By The Painter Robert Lundberg Tanger 1880

Very nice Orientalist portrait.

The portrait is signed Rob. Lundberg, dated 80,and located Tanger, also the name of the model is annotated on the bottom left: Buz El Hmi.

Robert Lundberg is a Swedish painter born in 1861 and died in 1903.
It is painter mainly of orientalist subject.

The portrait is painted on skin, the original support was probably an Arab tambourine.
This support allows a beautiful transparency which gives a lot of charm to this charming portrait.
The skin is unfortunately pierced in two places, however the painted face has not been deteriorated.

This oil is sold with its beautiful oriental frame (it is a bit damaged, see photos).
