Rhinoceros in raku, cracked ceramic. Raku from Japanese raku-yaki is a cooking technique. This technique was previously used during the tea ceremony where the ritual was closely linked to Zen philosophy. Indeed, one enameled and one cooked his bowl before drinking his tea, a particular rite. One of the ears has been restored.
