Africa Dan Mask With Basketry

Superb Dan mask (Liberia / Ivory Coast) "Go Gé" with basketry
modern black metal base, with human face, oval, finely modeled features, prominent eyebrows, full lips. The eyes are round and the forehead slightly rounded. The hairstyle is in braids of vegetable fibers. The chin is adorned with a beard in frayed fibers. Shiny black patina.

Date : circa 1930 / 1950.

Dimensions with basketry : Height with basketry 57 cm - Depth 33 cm.
Dimensions of the base : Height with basketry 63 cm - Depth 19,5 cm.
