Porcupine bark and quills
H. 6 ; L. ; Thickness : 10,2 cm
Small oval box made of bark and plant fibres. The decoration is made of porcupine quills embroidered in green, white and pink. The main composition features a flower.
These boxes were made by women who traditionally passed on the technique from generation to generation. The porcupine quills had to be flattened with the teeth and then pigmented.
