French Louis XVI Antique Style Carved Wood Pedestal Column - 19th Century

Important carved and gray lacquered wooden column with fluted shaft decorated with a laurel garland at its base. It rests on an independent molded base. Louis XVI style. Nineteenth century.

Height of the column: 114.5 cm
Diameter of the support at the top of the column (excluding the groove): 25 cm
Width of one side of the square base: 43 cm

Condition report: Good general condition column, small paint gaps and scattered dirt and 3 inconsequential cracks. Fairly good condition of the base which nevertheless shows wear on its lower edge due to previous exposure to humidity. The whole is healthy and stable.
