"Royal Chapel Of The Palace Of Versailles Under Louis XIV"
Suite of four etchings in strong water representing the chapel of the Palace of Versailles. A colored engraving (from the period), the chapel as it was under the reign of Louis XIV (we will note the existence of the campanile which has now disappeared). The other three engravings represent the sectional plans by level: plan of the ground floor of the chapel, plan of the gallery and the plan of the ceiling. They were drawn and engraved by Pierre LEPAUTRE, designer of the King's cabinet ... with the privilege of the King. Italian frame in blackened wood with a small frieze decorated with golden water leaves, early 19th century. Very good condition of the engravings.
