Oil Painting On Canvas

The work in question is a painting made in oil on canvas, by the painter Francesco Danieli, towards the end of the 19th century, around 1890.

The scene depicted is an internal environment with four female figures, two facing the balcony and two others that govern the scene inside the room: a pretty girl is depicted kneeling in front of a chair while praying, together with her also a elderly lady sitting side by side.
The work creates an almost lyrical atmosphere, given by the intimate moment of prayer, also influenced by the particularly dark and suggestive environment.

The work is signed lower left.
The state of conservation is good, the frame is in sculpted fir wood and gilded with gold leaf.
