Exceptional support unit in blackened wood and rosewood veneer. On the front, two fixed panels and a large leaf, detached columns in blackened wood. Brass and pewter marquetry decorated with foliage scrolls, acanthus leaves, palmettes and lapis lazuli inlays. Ornamentation of gilded bronze: ingot mold for the marble, rings for the columns, frame for the leaf and rods for the base. Headband with inlaid modillions, red Levanto marble top. Molded base with projections, glide feet. Oak frame. Very refined furniture, most likely from a large Parisian house. Around 1860. Height 112 cm, width 126 cm, depth 45 cm.
