"Brazilian Art Deco Table Signed Formanek"
This Art Deco side table is unique from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. It can be dated from the 30s - 40s.It is made by hand. Fortunately, nowadays butterflies are protected, therefore the production of such tables is prohibited. The butterflies, covered with a glass tray, look like a colorful kaleidoscope. The artist has subtly arranged the wings of the butterflies with repeating patterns.
The equally impressive base is made of monkey puzzle tree wood with its typical decorative pattern. It is marked with a label "FORMANEK Rua do acre, 82-I Rio de Janeiro"
