Elegant and rare large sculpture from the Art Nouveau period circa 1900 in patinated bronze signed on the terrace P.JEAN (Sculptor-Dinandier from the end of the 19th century listed on page 201 in the excellent work -200 sculptors from the Belle Epoque and Etains 1900- by Philippe Dahhan published by L'Amateur with preface by Felix Marcilhac) stamped with a foundry stamp with the mention Vrai Bronze. Romantic subject featuring a couple of dancers in period outfits, titled on the front "Le Minuet" traditional dance from baroque three-beat music with moderate, graceful and noble movements, it was one of Louis XIV's favorite dances and his court.
