"Veramin Rug (iran)"
Carpet Veramin (Iran) in Wool of dimensions 2 x 1.35 meters around 1970. The herati pattern develops throughout the field of the carpet. The intense petroleum blue gives it a lot of finesse. Véramin, located about a hundred kilometers south-east of Tehran, produces rugs of a higher quality than those in the capital. These models are particularly remarkable for the use of the floral motif: mina khani (four flowers arranged in a diamond pattern, interpretation of the Kurdish motif herati) repeated many times on the surface of the field. There is also the classic vase of flowers adorned with branches, shrubs and various animals. These very beautiful pieces have a tight knot reaching a density of 500 to 600,000 stitches per m2.
