Polychrome Renaissance Period Stained-glass Window Decorated With Four Male Faces Framing The Virgin And Architectural Ruins flag

Object description :

"Polychrome Renaissance Period Stained-glass Window Decorated With Four Male Faces Framing The Virgin And Architectural Ruins"
Beautiful Renaissance stained glass window made from different elements of the XV-XVIth century.
It presents a decorative register of four heads of male figures framing the bust of a saint or of the haloed Virgin in an environment of fantasy landscapes with architectural ruins and touches of vegetation in emerald green.
It should be noted that the assembly, obviously later, must date from the 19th century, the glasses as for them are from the Renaissance period.
The composition is harmonious and the face painting is superb! In conclusion, here is a beautiful testimony of the Renaissance period that an artist has preserved with the creation of this recomposed stained glass window.
