Fan project framed under mat finely painted in gouache with a gallant scene in the style of the 18th century. Young people are having fun in nature to the sound of a violin under a pergola in a skilful setting. Sumptuous colors in tones - all in nuances - of blue, water green, beige-pink / brown remained very fresh as well as a high quality of execution characterize this work. Dimensions: 31 cm x 65 cm (framed) Signed lower right "Malsy Dubois Davesnes" for Marguerite-Fanny Dubois Davesnes, French painter and sculptor (1832-1900) who was a pupil of Desboeuf and Léon Cogniet, exhibited regularly at the Salon from 1853 and made, among other things, a marble bust of the Empress Eugenie. She is also the daughter of the French playwright, actor and director Charles-Hippolyte Dubois Davesne (1800-1874). Good condition. Some slight marks of seniority. The master key has been changed. It is highlighted by a beaded framing rod in gilded wood from a later period although old. Note that the photos were taken before reassembly of the protective glass, with the exception of the last photo taken with the glass, which allows you to better appreciate the work without the reflections due to the lighting.
