Its cover is lined with a painted ivory plaque, representing a mythological scene, Jupiter with Semele and Juno.
At the top of the stage, Juno, the wife of Jupiter, behind a cloud, discovers and observes them.
Next to Jupiter's red tunic, we see an eagle with the flaming lightning of Jupiter, in the beak.
Subsequently the ivory plate had been covered by a glass, to protect the paint. Now broken, unfortunately.
