A Young Beauty By Josef Zenisek (czech, 1855 -1944)

Beautiful Art Nouveau portrait of a young woman wearing pearls and lace was executed in 1914 by the well-ranked Czech portrait painter and genre painter Josef Zenisek (1855 Prague -1944). The artist studied at the Academy of Prague and Munich and then worked in Paris and Rome. In 1935, his works were exhibited at a solo exhibition in Prague.
Josef Zenisek is listed in the General Dictionary of Artists from Antiquity to the present day by Thieme / Becker, Leipzig 1999 and in the Dictionary of Czech Artists by Dr. P. Toman, Prague 1950.
