Ghom (iran) Silk Rug

Superb carpet of Ghom (Iran) in Silk, knotted by hand of a beautiful size: 3 x 2 meters. Tying density: 800,000 stitches per m2. - (Note that the "white spot" at the top left is a bad reflection). The city of Qom or Koum is located 150 km south of Tehran not far from Daryacheh-ye Namak, a large salt basin, at the crossroads of the roads of Kachan, Arak and Isfahan.
