"Arne Vodder is a great Danish designer of the 20th century. He is a friend, collaborator and alumnus of the famous designer Finn Juhl. Although he does not enjoy the same fame as his contemporaries, Arne Vodder particularly influenced the Scandinavian design of the 20th century. His pieces of furniture are characterized by their simplicity, their timelessness and the colors used. They are most often composed of natural materials such as teak or rosewood. During the 1960s, he designed several iconic buffets.Arne Vodder was born in Denmark in 1926. While still a young designer of vintage furniture, he met the famous Finn Juhl who would have a strong influence on his work. During his career, he worked for various major publishers such as Fritz Hansen, France & Son, Cado, Ivan Schlechter, Bovirke, Vamo or even Slagelse. The ranges of furniture he designed (desks, tables, c haises etc) have met with great success in Europe and North America. Even today, the sideboards and desks signed Arne Vodder are pieces particularly sought after by lovers of 20th century design. "In very good condition.
