The six fronts of the drawers are tortoise shell palaces.
The front part of the coin cabinet is covered with exotic wood: ebony a few millimeters thick.

The two drawers on the right, at the bottom, are in fact a single drawer that hides a little secret.
Originally, in two upper drawers on the right they had 2 pins to lock them from below.
The two locking pins could only be opened by opening the key to the drawer below.
