Object description :

"Georges Laujoil De La Fage (french 1830 - 1858) Idyllic Landscape With Fishermen On The River"
The idyllic landscape of the French river with fishermen was executed in 1855 by the good French landscape painter Georges Laujol de La Fage (1830 Chapelle Saint-Denis - 1858 Paris). This artist, who can be compared to Corot and Daubigny, unfortunately died very young and left only a large number of works after his death. Hence our river landscape - one of the rare examples, which has reached us even to the current judges of painting, especially since it is written in the same style as the landscapes of his contemporaries Corot and Daubigny. The artist studied by N. Diaz de la Pena and exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1853-1857, honorable mention in 1857.
Our work is illustrated in the article about the artist in the online wikipedia ( in English).
