Round sculpture in terracotta with slip representing the head of the sun god ″ Surya ″. The face is serene, the eyes half-closed. The head is surmounted by a high crown with floral decorations, there is seen heavy earrings covered in part with long wavy hair. At the back, a large mandorla represents the power of solar radiation. Mounted on a plinth. East India or Bangladesh - Gupta Culture Period (320 - 550) - 4 / 5th century - Lacks and visible restoration of the mandorla.
