Turkman Bukhara rug circa 1940 in Wool, dimensions 2.90 x 2.20 meters. Hand-knotted rug, weft and warp in wool and wool velor. This rug has the rarity of having a white background. In Central Asia, Bukhara is renowned as the best center for carpet production. Bukhara rugs are remarkable for the silkiness of the Karacul wools used in their manufacture. An almost identical design is reproduced on each of the copies; this is the Gül motif. This is often divided into four compartments of two colors. The tightness of these mats at the senneh knot varies from 300 to 700,000 stitches per m2. Very neat, it is made with good quality wool.
