"Louis XV Inlaid Commode."
Small chest of drawers in Rio rosewood marquetry. It opens with four drawers in three rows, the top two drawers being asymmetrical. Front and curved sides. Rich ornaments of finely chiseled and gilded bronzes. These bronzes and their gilding are original. Marble top molded in bec de corbin. This marble was formerly reinforced, probably in the 19th century. You can see the reinforcements under the marble, but the restoration is almost invisible on the top. ( see photos). Furniture in very good condition. Louis XV period. 18th century. Dimensions with the marble: 120cm X 62cm.
