Large Oil On Canvas Of The Seventeenth Saint Anthony Of Padua, Religious Painting

Large oil on canvas of the seventeenth century that represents the appearance of Christ to Saint Anthony of Padua. The flower of Lys, as well as the sacred texts, represented here are some attributes of the Saint. The scene is decorated with angels that evolve in the sky.

Like all the paintings I propose, this great oil on canvas is in its juice (nature). The painting that I think is a Venetian school of the seventeenth century has unfortunately suffered the outrages of time. However this composition remains very beautiful, very decorative, the essence of the scene remains preserved. It can be hung as it is, with its history and its marks of time.

Like most religious paintings of that time, it is not signed to my knowledge. Of high quality, there is certainly a nice discovery to make for those who will know to whom to attribute it.

The canvas is protected by a wooden panel on the back but it is not marooned.
