"Louis XV Dresser In Marquetry Of Flowers XIX I"
Louis XV style commode from the Napoleon III period in marquetry of flowers opening with 2 curved drawers without crossbar. The garniture of gilded bronzes and its vegetal ornamentation are of high quality. The chest of drawers is lined on its 3 sides in a cartouche to highlight the work of the flower marquetry. For the Facade the 4 pull handles are hidden in the bronze trim. It is sabotaged by 4 feet in gilded bronze representing lions. For the marquetry work the cabinetmaker used veneer wood such as palisander, rosewood, sycamore, mahogany, boxwood .... It is built on an oak frame. Its marble is a double-groove sarrancolin which has undergone an old but discreet restoration because the marble is very veined. Of reasonable size, it can integrate an entrance, a bedroom or a living room. We can marry our dresser in an old world as well as a contemporary one. It was refinished by my cabinetmaker and therefore found all its contrasts. Parisian work from the Faubourg Saint Antoine. Period late nineteenth. Welcome to my store in Nice opposite the Masséna museum and just behind the famous Negresco hotel.
