Etching by Chas-Laborde. Collection "L'abeille Garance". Francis Carco, of Corsican origin, whose real name is François Carcopino-Tusoli, was born in Nouméa in 1886 and died in Paris in 1958. He also used the pseudonym of Jean d'Aiguières. He frequented Montmartre and was friends with Roland Dorgelès and Pierre Mac Orlan.
