"Nineteenth Rosewood Slope Office"
This very pretty Louis XV style rosewood sloping desk made at the end of the 19th century is doubly curved on the sides and slightly on the front. It opens with four drawers and a flap containing five small drawers. It rests on four arched feet ending in chiseled bronze hooves. The exterior patina is blonde (closer to the shade of walnut) and darker on the inside; this is certainly due to exposure to light.
