Very pretty Janus figure in carved wood from the Bembé ethnic group in the Congo and dating from the first half of the 20th century. This piece is related to divination and protection. The sculpture is superb. Geometric shapes represent the eyes. The patina, normal wear and cracks attest to the age. Height 32.2 cm.
