Gilded and painted porcelain. This pair of elegant and rare vases owes its typical 18th century proportions to the model copied by Samson. This is a model of the Real Fabrica by Buen Retiro from the end of the 18th century. They were also made in three different sizes. Edme Samson decorated these vases with the so-called “pommadier” decor. We are in a work very close to similar models of the XVIIIth French. Note an apocryphal Sèvres mark in blue, in fact Edme Samson did not systematically use one of his referenced marks.
