"1st Rooster Silver Wedding Cup"
Elegant wedding cup accompanied by its French silver display 1st rooster, late 18th-early 19th. The handles on either side of the cup feature beautifully carved crowing rooster heads. The decorative patterns are sober and finely chiseled: we find the same decoration all around the cup on 2 occasions as well as on the top of the foot. A different pattern surrounds the base of the cup as well as its display; the latter, at 2 levels, is slightly hollow. The whole is very refined and in good condition.
