Object description :

"Watercolor Artist Proof Signed Éliane Diverly - Period: XXth"
Magnificent artist proof signed by Éliane DIVERLY.

It represents in the foreground, a jockey, helmet, cap and whip in hand, parading with a smile on his lips on a magnificent racy and muscular frame.

Both move with a sure and decided step, like great lords, among a multitude of not very shy and naked women, totally ready to abandon themselves as soon as the fop has set his sights on one or more of them, under the knowing gaze of the birds which swirl in the wind, around their disheveled hair.

Period: XXth
Dimensions: Height: 54cm x W: 74cm x D: 1.7cm
Signed: "Diverly" lower right

A magnificent illustration on the theme of the domination of the male, on the female aptly introducing the symbolism of the sexual energy, strong emotions as well as passionate desires, all sublimated with great care by the author who uses as a background the color green, a negative symbol in the story, such as poison, envy or avarice.
