Handmade rug, in wool on wool, from the Yahyahli tribe, originally from eastern Turkey, in eastern Anatolia, dating from the mid-20th century. The peculiarity of this carpet and what makes it so rare are the purple color of the background as well as the shape of its central motif, not in polygon as usual, but harmoniously polylobed.
