"Bronze Sculpture "
Bronze sculpture "The smoker" - Signed Bergmann Bronze from Vienna, representing a shisha smoker on a carpet. Signed on the back Bergm. Franz Xavier Bergmann (1861 - 1936) is a renowned Austrian sculptor. He produced many oriental and animal figures in cold painted bronze. His work is unique in the use of color and the attention to detail. He signed his work either with "B" in an urn-shaped cartouche, or "Nam Greb" or "Bergman". The work can be seen at the Courcelles Antiquités Gallery, at 97 rue de Courcelles, 75017 Paris.
